Being Mortal Documentary Screening and Discussion

Why is it difficult for doctors to discuss end of life care with their patients? Join Turner Public Library for a screening of the documentary and a discussion of advance directives and end of life care decisions based on the book Being Mortal by Atul Gawande, MD. This important book and the PBS documentary address the difficult decisions patients, families, and medical professionals face, as well as how we can ease the process by preparing in advance. Kyla Greenwood, Volunteer Coordinator from Beacon Hospice, will facilitate the discussion and provide materials for use in making decisions and having discussions with loved ones and care givers.
