Cupcake Wars!

On Friday evening, May 19, from 6-8:00 PM at the Nasson Community Center in Springvale, York County Community Action will present its 1st Annual Cupcake Wars Fundraiser/Competition among York County businesses. Come to sample and purchase treats, and vote on the tastiest cupcake!

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit York County Community Action and the creation of its new Intergenerational Learning Center – a unique, first-of-its-kind facility in Maine that will provide high-quality child care and early intervention supports for 54 young children, summer camp for 16 school-aged children, and high-quality adult day health services for 25 seniors who do not require 24-hour nursing care or hospitalization, but who need more than the occasional home service or social activity. The Center will allow seniors and children to connect and collaborate in the same environment each day – with endless benefits to both. For over fifty years, YCCAC has greatly impacted and inspired individuals in York County; the Intergenerational Learning Center will be a most valuable resource for community members in need of these services.

Tickets are $15 in advance for adults ($20 at the door) and $8 in advance for children ages 4-10 ($10 at the door). Children three and under are free. To purchase tickets, call (207) 459-2938 or visit
