“Death, Beauty, and Metaphysics: Art, Science and Memento Mori in Early Anatomical Representation”

Joanna Ebenstein, founder of the Morbid Anatomy Museum and author of “The Anatomical Venus,” explores the intersections of art and medicine, death and culture, and their resonating effects on our culture and history. Presented in conjunction with the exhibition, “The Ivory Mirror: The Art of Mortality in Renaissance Europe.”
