Maine-Wabanaki REACH Workshop

Maine-Wabanaki REACH Workshop
Saturday, January 20, 9:30am – 4pm (snow date Jan. 27)

Maine-Wabanaki REACH workshops have been well received across the state with over 700 Mainers participating. Maine and Wabanaki people are at an historical juncture in their long relationship. This Workshop is an opportunity for non-Native people to reflect on our shared history and future with Native people.

Maine-Wabanaki REACH is a cross-cultural organization providing educational programs to help people share the truth, support healing, and work toward decolonization and Wabanaki self-determination. REACH initiated the Maine-Wabanaki State Child Welfare Truth and Reconciliation Commission, currently facilitates the annual Wabanaki Wellness Gathering and healing circles in prisons, and supports organizational change in many communities.

The workshop includes a very brief history of US and Maine government relationships with Native people; awareness of white privilege; an introduction to decolonization and ally responsibilities.

Workshop space is limited and registration is required. Please register online at
