Friends of Cumston Public Library WELCOME SPRING at the 32nd annual May Fair on May 20th from 9 to 2 pm on the lawns, porches, Caucus Room, Reception Room, and front parking lots of Cumston Hall on Main Street.

FEATURED ARE HOME GROWN PERENNIALS FROM LOCAL GARDENS AND FLOWERING ANNUALS FROM GINGERBREAD FARMS, WAYNE, ME. STEVENS PERENNIALS AND VEGETABLES FROM H. L. COTTRELL’S CHILDREN’S GARDENS ARE PARTICIPATING ALSO.

In the newly restored Reception Room of Cumston Public Library Monmouth Museum will be selling collectibles and oddities, both new and old. FOCL’s Lobster Rolls will be under the archway, with seating area. The Junior Fire Department will offer hamburgers and hot dogs. The United Church’s Bake Table offers delectable for every taste: pies, quiches, bars, cupcakes, and more. Gently Used Books are available in the Lower Level and outside on the porch. Vendors’ Stalls will be set up selling crafts, embroidery, weaving, books, fabric, jewelry, doll clothes during the day. FOR CHILDREN OF ALL AGES: Activities will include making masks and noise-makers at 11 a.m. These will be used for a parking lot parade scheduled for 11:30. Additional activities during the day will include simple wand-making for May Fairies, gnomes, and other sprites, as well as chalk art, face-painting, and more. A performance by the Theater at Monmouth of The Tale of Princess Kaguya will be presented at 12 p.m. with FREE admission for May Faire customers.
