Storyteller Andy Davis tells
Folktales – from Ireland to Africa
Seanachie Nights presents raconteur and all-around witty fellow, Andy Davis.
Andy will unlock his sea chest and haul out a fantastic flotsam of folktales from Ireland, Africa, and the Middle East.
Davis has entertained audiences in Ireland and Northern Ireland, and as far east as Paris, as far south as Bamako, and as far west as San Diego. He regularly darkens (and amuses) the doorsteps of various venues throughout northern New England and Massachusetts. His repertoire includes tales of youthful indiscretion and footloose adventure, multicultural folktales and tales of folk background with an original twist.
Storyteller Joanne Piazzi, who produces a storytelling series in Rochester, New Hampshire, calls him “a storyteller of remarkable guile and wit.”
Davis lives with his wife and young daughter in Albany, NH, in the shadow of Mt. Chocorua, where he co-directs the World Fellowship Center, an educational family camp and retreat center dedicated to peace and social justice.
