Spice Things Up with Gryffon Ridge Cooking Class

Smoky, spicy Baharat chicken, herby and sweet za’atar roasted carrots, lemony pan-roasted cod with grains of paradise will be just some of the stops on this culinary exploration of exotic spices. Christine Pistole from Maine’s own Gryffon Ridge Spice Merchants has recently been working with Andrew Zimmern on developing a selection of spice blends and rubs for his website. Christine will be on hand to talk about how she sources her spices and how she puts together some of her proprietary blends. We’ll also be cooking up some of these deliciously aromatic dishes for you to sample.
