Spurwink’s 2018 Humanitarian Awards

On Friday, October 12, Spurwink will celebrate and honor those have shown a commitment to Spurwink’s mission – going the distance for those in need – at the 32nd annual Humanitarian Awards. This year, their focus will be on the work being done through Spurwink’s statewide Outpatient and Community Services, which includes case management, outpatient therapy, public school counseling, foster care placement, therapeutic care for refugee and immigrant children and families, and more.

This year’s theme is “A Night in Casablanca,” and Thompson’s Point will be transformed into a 1940’s night club, just like Rick’s Café! Tickets include dinner, awards, and a live and silent auction. Guests can enjoy complimentary wine, a cash bar, and a fabulous night of supporting the important work that Spurwink does throughout the state of Maine.

This year’s honorees include:

Humanitarian Award
Danielle M. Conway, Dean & Professor of Law, University of Maine School of Law

Corporate Care Award
Sun Life Financial U.S.

Going the Distance Award
Richard Tryon BA, MDiv, MSW, LCSW, Co-Founder and Former Executive Director of Community Partners, Inc.

See Spurwink’s website for tickets and additional ways to support this event and their mission.
