The Escapists bring Improv Bingo to the North Star Café!
7:30 pm Monday, November 17, 2008
It’s time for improv bingo! With each letter that is called a new improv or comedy game is played. I-4 is the “the opma loompa commentary”, B-3 is “the great pants exchange” and so on. Audience members will of course get their own bingo cards so they can play along and have a chance to win! Just to be clear it should be noted that the prizes, while fabulous, will be strictly improvisational in nature. This isn’t gambling for money.
The Escapists are a group of performers who create smart and rambunctious comedy and improv. At the first-ever Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, D.C., The Escapists were praised as “Funny…an excellent ensemble of performers” by Missy Frederick of the Dcist. Closer to home the group was called “Intrepid comics...quick-thinking, culturally literate, and devilishly shrewd” by the Portland Phoenix.
Tickets are $5 and are available at the door half hour before showtime.
